Join The Scottish Maritime Museum (Denny Tank) for a “Brew & Blether!”
November 19, 2025, 11.30 – 12.30
DUMBARTON LIBRARY, Dumbarton
At Dumbarton Library
FREE/NO BOOKING REQUIRED
The Scottish Maritime Museum (Denny Tank) invites everyone to drop into the next, free Brew & Blether session which will take place at Dumbarton Library from 11am – 12.30pm on Wednesday 19 November.
At the free, drop-in session, everyone can enjoy a cuppa, biscuits and a relaxed browse through historic photographs and artwork celebrating harbour life.
The session is also a great chance for those who can share their own stories or family memories of life by and on the sea for inclusion in the Museum’s upcoming Harbour and Horizon exhibition.
Jennifer Pless, Community Engagement & Development Officer at the Scottish Maritime Museum, explains:
“After the success of our previous Brew & Blether sessions, we’re inviting even more people to come along, chat and share memories for our upcoming exhibition Harbour and Horizon.
“Brew & Blether is for everyone. You don’t need to have any personal connection to harbours or life at sea just an interest in local history and good company to join in!
“We’d love to see both familiar and new faces at the next session!”
The Harbour and Horizon exhibition, which will open at the Denny Tank in January, will give visitors a chance to enjoy paintings from the Museum’s heritage collection and explore the differing worlds of life in the harbour and out on the often hazardous sea.
