Foodies alert!
Loch Lomond Springfest is back

Loch Lomond Springfest, one of Scotland’s biggest FREE food festivals, is back on the 5th and 6th April at Loch Lomond Shores with a fantastic line up of food and drink producers, chef demonstrations, foraging workshops and mocktail & cocktail classes, as well as children’s entertainment and much more.

Running from 10am to 5pm each day, the festival is full of great things to see and do that will keep you busy all day.

For budding chefs, we have the very talented Suki Pantal, making her Springfest debut!  Suki, author and chef, will be sharing her passion for the taste of India with festival goers on Saturday with FREE demonstrations at 11am, 1pm and 3pm.  On Sunday we’ll have Cameron House chef and Springfest regular, Rohan Wadke, who will be hosting his always interesting and inventive FREE demonstrations at 11am and 1pm.

For would-be foragers. we have expert forager, Sharon Kerrigan, who will be leading small groups on a foraging workshop wander to explore wild foods available and share her extensive knowledge of what to pick and their edible and medicinal properties.  Foraging workshop wanders will take place at 10.30am, 12pm, 1.30pm and 3pm each day.  Buy tickets at Eventbrite to ensure you’re place in Sharon’s small groups.

For mocktail and Cocktail fans, we’ve got cocktail and mocktail masterclasses hosted by La Masa, Glasgow on both days and hosted by their mixologist.  All masterclasses will be one hour long and the 11am one will feature mocktail making and is open to anyone aged 12 and up and supervised by a responsible adult, while the 1pm and 3pm sessions will be cocktails so they’re 18 years and over.  At only £5 for the mocktail sessions and £10 for the cocktail sessions, you can sip on two mocktails or cocktails, depending on the session, and have serious fun learning how to make your own!

With a limited number of tickets available, we recommend you get yours quickly at Eventbrite.  However, if you miss out, it’s always worthwhile checking on the day to see if there are any tickets left.  And, if you don’t score some tickets, you can always visit the La Masa cocktail bar and enjoy a delicious concoction!

For children, big and small, we’ll have Verity, our stilt-walking and bubble-making chef performing on Saturday between 11am and 3pm, while on Sunday, we’ll have your favourite Wicked Characters Elphaba and Glinda, performing between 12pm and 3pm. We’ll also have children’s rides and face painters on site throughout the festival.

For music fans, we’ve got the Lomond Radio team here all weekend playing tunes from across the years, as well as buskers around site performing their music.

For food lovers - last but by no means least - we will have our usual huge array of street food and food producers so you can enjoy while browsing or take home to savour later.  This year’s attendees include: the award winning Great British Cheese Company; Istanbul Kitchen with their amazing food including footlong kebabs, chicken Shawarma and Baklava; Jinger Drinks, producers of organic, vegan, ginger and turmeric concentrated drinks; La Masa, Glasgow who will be hosting our bar and mocktail/cocktail classes during the festival as well as offering a selection of draught beer, cider, frozen margaritas & daiquiris, vodka, rum and whisky.
