Why join

Successful visitor destinations do not happen by accident and often are led by strong private sector groups based on effective collaboration and partnership working. Competition throughout the world and more locally here in Scotland is rapidly increasing with the emergence of well-funded and dedicated local Destination Organisations.

There is an urgent need for us to come together as a strong and unified force to more strongly position our area in the global marketplace and to drive up the overall quality of the visitor experience. This should give us a competitive edge and encourage repeat visits from satisfied customers and their friends. We already have support from our public sector partners including local authorities, the National Park Authority and VisitScotland.

Member Testimonials

Clare Gemmell, Loch Lomond Shores Centre Manager:

"Loch Lomond Shores joined Love Loch Lomond from the very start of the project. The opportunity to be part of this destination management programme was something that we have waited a long time for. The great website and social media presence is priceless, as there is no way that Loch Lomond Shores could achieve this on its own. Alongside the networking opportunities, it is good to be able to pick up the phone to other businesses in the area and you already have that connection with them through your shared membership of Love Loch Lomond."

Anne Urquhart, Balmillig B&B, Helensburgh

“Even though we meet lots of interesting people while operating a small B&B, it can be an isolated existence as many of the connections you make with guests are fleeting. Being a member of Love Loch Lomond provides us with opportunities to connect locally with others who understand the value of working together to improve things for both the operators and the visitors. It's good fun.”
