Drymen is a charming, pretty village with its own village square, a good choice of accommodation, friendly pubs and cafes as well as shops and crafts.
It's an important gateway community for Loch Lomond and the National Park and lies on one of Scotland's long distance walks, The West Highland Way, making it a popular stop-off point for walkers and touring visitors.
Travel tip: go through a little gate on the north side of the main road (opposite the Best Western Buchanan Arms Hotel) and a two minute walk reveals a fantastic view of the loch. An easy day trip from Glasgow for a walk and lunch or a snack.
