Summer Nature Club at the Lodge Forest Visitor Centre

The Summer Nature Club at the Lodge Forest Visitor Centre, Aberfoyle is for children aged seven and up who are interested in bug hunting, tree and flower ID, den building, pond dipping and lots more fun forest activities.

Summer Nature Club Activities:

Thursday 7 July: Life's Better with Bugs - Out in the forest looking for bugs, building bug homes and more.

Thursday 14 July: Meet a Tree - forest fun, getting up close to trees, muddy faces on trees, woodcrafts.

Thursday 21 July: Beautiful Butterflies - butterflies and moths, butterfly paper crafts and feeders.

Thursday 28 July: "Waterlovely Way to Spend a Day" - pond and river dipping and and water bug hunt. Make a treasure bag to start own collection.

Thursday 4 August: "Birds of a Feather Flock Together" - a walk in the woods looking and listening for birds. Birdie masks and crafts.

Dates: 7, 14, 21, 28 July and 4 August, from 10am to 12.30pm. Suitable for: Children aged 7 and above.

Cost per child: £3 (£1.50 to RSPB members).

There shall be time outside every session for an hour or two, followed by some time back in the Lodge for crafts or games.

Be prepared to get muddy! 

Some children are better able to enjoy the sessions with a parent or carer present, so speak to Jenni about your child’s needs when you contact the team to book your place.
