National Storytelling Week Events at Loch Lomond Shores
10:00 - 16:00
National Storytelling Week takes place up and down the country this week as people are encouraged to celebrate the art of storytelling.
A number of activities are taking place at Loch Lomond Shores to coincide with the national event. National Storytelling Week was first conceived by The Society for Storytelling in 2000, with this year’s event marking its 17th year.
From Saturday 4 February, a new event launches at Loch Lomond SEA LIFE Centre. The Snail and the Whale, based on the popular children’s book of the same name, will run until Sunday 19 February. Visitors can experience the book like never before as they follow the story around the centre and an underwater world. Find out more and book tickets here.
Rounding out the schedule of activity will be appearances from Alexandria-based The Regal Storytellers. Straight from the pages of history books, King Robert the Bruce and his Queen, Elizabeth, will be performing knighting ceremonies and giving out chocolate coins to children.
This storytelling event is free and takes place on Monday 6 and Tuesday 7 February, from 12 noon until 4pm both days.
