Hessilhead Wildlife Rescue Day RSPB Shop for Nature

10:00 - 12:00

The team from Hessilhead Wildlife Rescue Centre will be at The RSPB Shop for Nature at Loch Lomond Shores, Balloch, on Sunday 18 August from 10am onwards.

They will have some rescued patients with them for you to visit for the day.  Along with meeting the animals, you will also learn first aid for injured animals you may come across in your garden or in the wild.

There will be great guided walks on offer from their very own Loch Lomond and Trossachs information assistant Rita, and you can also enjoy discounted entry into Sea Life Loch Lomond as well as half price lunch at Café at The Loch.

Tickets are free and it's a great day out for all the family so please come along!

More information on Hessilhead Wildlife Rescue:

Hessilhead Wildlife Rescue is located near Beith, North Ayrshire.  It occupies a 20-acre site including woodland, marsh and open water.  This gives many release sites for the charities patients.  They aim to rescue, treat, rehabilitate and release birds and animals back to the wild, and we have the facilities and experience to treat all species of Scottish wildlife.

Resources at the Centre include an intensive care unit, a swan/seal hospital with indoor pool, a hedgehog unit, a surgery and more than 60 outdoor aviaries, enclosures and release pens.  The charity does invaluable work in giving our injured wildlife a second chance.
