Festive Lights Switch-On Event Loch Lomond Shores

Join 5 Star Visitor Attraction and Retail complex Loch Lomond Shores on Sunday 15th November as they flip the switch on their festive lights and start the countdown to Christmas, celebrating the start of the winter season.

Enjoy fire-eating displays, face painting, the popular Farmers’ Market, a festive edition of the Artisan Craft Market, a sparkly carousel ride and some superb street food: the event will be jam-packed with activities and atmosphere.

Your Radio will be hosting an afternoon of live music and entertainment with give-aways, special promotions and family fun.

The special guest appearances are yet to be announced but check with Loch Lomond Shores or visit their Facebook page for more information nearer the time.

The event will reach a grand finale with the usual spectacular annual Festive Firework display, with the majestic Loch Lomond in the background.

Full activity listings (all activities are free unless otherwise stated):

Farmers Market & Artisan Craft Market from 10am – 6pm

Santa arrives 12 noon

Santa Shows kick off at 12.30pm (cost applies)

Face painting & glitter tattoos in the Mall, 12pm – 5pm (cost applies)

Fire-eating from 12.30pm – 4.30pm

Kids arts& crafts from 12 noon – 4pm in the Mall

Magic shows with Ron Ray from 12 noon – 4pm

Radio Roadshow with Your Radio from 12 noon – 5.30pm

Balloon twisters from 12 noon – 5pm (cost applies)

There are also great special events such as RIB blasts on the Loch – why not RIB blast up the Loch for £2.50 per child and £5 per adult. Visit Can You Experience on the Beach.  There is no booking for this experience and there are only 10 spaces on each RIB blast, which will go out on the hour and half past the hour from 11am – 4pm.

Sweeneys Cruises are running 45minute cruises from the Loch Lomond Shores pontoon at 1pm, 2pm & 3pm on the day.

Due to the live nature of the event and the unpredictable Scottish Weather, it’s not possible to give an exact time for the lights switch on and fireworks display, but it will take place somewhere between 4.30pm & 5.30pm.
