Clanscape Ben Lomond 2017

10:00 - 17:00

Try your hand at a variety of traditional skills, and learn about life in days gone by.

Visit the recently thatched cruck-framed building at Ardess, Rowardennan, to get a chance to try your hand at a variety of traditional skills.

 - Try the Green Woodworking techniques used in the building construction

 - Help the wool spinners spin their yarns; try stone carving, and lend a hand to mow the meadow by scythe.

 - Learn rope making techniques and have tea and bannocks around the fire.

 - Make artist's willow charcoal to take home, and all to the comforting sounds of live traditional music in the open air.

No booking required, just drop by and join in at any time throughout the day.

This is a free event, but donations are welcome to help it happen again.
