Celebrating Park People and Stories Conference

10:00 - 16:30

Interested in local history and telling stories and in mediums to communicate these? A joint conference from Friends of Loch Lomond & The Trossachs and the National Park Community Partnership is for you!

An interesting and informative day, it aims to inspire us all to capture and tell the story of the people of the National Park.

Find out about the power of stories and how to use video, photographs, archaeology, storytelling and more from inspiring speakers and practical workshops.

The conference features sessions from:

  • Kenny Taylor, broadcaster and writer, author of trail leaflets for the Aber path and Callander and Killin heritage trails.
  • Paul Saunders, photographer and producer of videos for the Friends' Celebrating Park People project.
  • Paraig MacNeil, storyteller.
  • Fiona Jackson, amateur archaeologist from Arrochar's Hidden Heritage project.

The conference is free of charge and takes place on Saturday 26th October, 10am-4.30pm at Kilmaronock Millennium Hall, Gartocharn G83 8NF.

Funded by Heritage Lottery Fund All Our Stories, Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park Authority and National Park Community Partnership.
