Wrap up warm and on a crisp bright day take a walk up Conic Hill for amazing views, then enjoy a great meal afterwards at the cosy Oak Tree Inn.

Stroll through the charming village of Luss, shop for gifts in the Luss Village Store, enjoy a glass of wine in Luss Seafood Bar then return to the Loch Lomond Arms Hotel, or Lodge on Loch Lomond Hotel for some very tasty food.

Explore the newly refreshed Clyde Sea Lochs Trail, with new information panels stretching over 13 points including Dumbarton Castle.

Climb out of Balloch on the Three Lochs Way towards Helensburgh or Cardross and enjoy fabulous views over Loch Lomond and great food at either end. In Helensburgh, try Riverhill Courtyard, La Barca or Cattle and Creel or enjoy beers and great pub food in The Woodbank Inn in Balloch.

Explore the Lodge Forest Visitor Centre in Aberfoyle in the morning, walk and enjoy the views, then try a Glengoyne malt whisky tour at Glengoyne Distillery in the afternoon. Why not try a treetop experience at award-winning Go Ape Aberfoyle?

Walk to Milarrochy Bay from The Oak Tree Inn at Balmaha then return to coffee and delicious cake at Café St. Mocha.

All the family will enjoy a trip to Loch Lomond Shores at Balloch: there's plenty to keep the kids happy, with Loch Lomond Sealife Aquarium, twice monthly Sunday Market Day (first and third of the month), combining food and artisan crafts, the Bird of Prey Centre and lots of free activities every month - check the Loch Lomond Shores website for details. 

In Februrary, look out for the Great Britain Ice Swimming Championships and kids and families will love the Frozen themed weekend at Loch Lomond Shores on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 February.

Loch Lomond wildlife and nature lovers will love the sunset goose walk with RSPB Loch Lomond on Saturday 4 March 2017.

Take a drive up the loch from Balloch, stopping at Luss, Tarbet, Arrochar and on to Ardlui to enjoy the fresh air and views. At Arrochar, visit Mansefield Studios Pottery and Craft Gallery to browse and buy potter Tom Butcher's gorgeous ceramics, admire gifts including beautiful jewellery and Harris Tweed cushions.
