The Oak Tree Inn Plays Starring Role in New VisitScotland Global Campaign

Last month Visit Scotland launched a global campaign to showcase the amazing qualities that Scotland has to offer.

They chose The Oak Tree Inn as one of just seven tourism businesses that best represent the chosen values of their Spirit of Scotland campaign.

Liz Buchanan, VisitScotland Regional Partnerships Director, said:

“We are delighted with the extremely positive response we’ve had to our new global Spirit of Scotland campaign since its launch. The stunning inspirational images in our new website, TV ads and online films are receiving excellent feedback and look set to achieve our aims of capturing the imagination of potential visitors. We’re confident the campaign will encourage many more people to come to Scotland - and to explore the wealth of attractions of the Loch Lomond region.

“Our #ScotSpirit social media movement, which is part of the campaign and uses ‘people power’ and local ambassadors to promote each region, is also proving very popular and generating a great deal of involvement. It was important to us to use strong, vibrant case studies to highlight The Seven Spirits of Scotland’ this celebrates - Warmth, Humour, Guts, Spark, Soul, Determination and Fun - key characteristics found within Scotland’s people and landscapes. We chose The Oak Tree Inn as an embodiment of the trait of ‘warmth’ as it’s a family business which has built up a superb reputation for the warm, friendly welcome and service it guarantees and the hearty wholesome homemade fare it offers.

“Sandy and Lucy Fraser and their team make every effort to ensure their customers feel the warmth - not only of the business but also of this unique, wonderful destination – and their commitment to doing so made The Oak Tree Inn a perfect choice to showcase as a fantastic example of #ScotSpirit.”

Stuart Fraser Oak Tree Inn partner, said:

“We are thrilled to have been chosen to be part of this campaign and are especially pleased that the warmth of our welcome has been recognised and showcased by Visit Scotland in this campaign. As VisitScotland take their campaign global it is great to see what we do in Loch Lomond being promoted around the world.

The atmosphere, quality of service and warmth of welcome that we offer guests is incredibly important to us and even as we continue to grow the business and offer more facilities we will never lose that genuine and authentic spirit.”
