New Cycle Hire From Cruise Loch Lomond

A new way to enjoy the Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond and the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park is to use sustainable transport by boat and bike for the whole family, provided by a new Cycle Hire service from Cruise Loch Lomond at Tarbet.

This new service means that visitors to Loch Lomond can now hire bikes at the North end of the Loch. Tickets are available for adults, children and families, for either a 3 hour trip or for a full day; as well as combined waterbus and cycle hire tickets. Cruise Loch Lomond also offer a suggested itinerary so that you can make the best of your trip: Tarbet – Rowardennan – Balmaha – Luss – Tarbet •    Waterbus service (0845 or 1000hrs) Tarbet to Rowardennan •    Cycle from Rowardennan to Balmaha •    Waterbus service (1045; 1215; 1400 or 1530hrs) Balmaha to Luss •    Cycle from Luss to Tarbet Pick up bikes at Tarbet Pier and embark on either 0845 or 1000hrs. Take the Waterbus service to Rowardennan, cruise to the eastern shore and disembark at Rowardennan, where you can spend time appreciating the stunning view that the Youth Hostel has to offer with a coffee and cake, prior to cycling to Balmaha. On arrival at the ‘Village on the Edge’, Balmaha, visit the new National Park Visitor Centre and relax with lunch in the Oak Tree Inn before catching the Waterbus to Luss on the western shore. The conservation village of Luss has an intriguing Heritage Centre and choice of coffee shops to enjoy prior to your return cycle to Tarbet on the West Loch Lomond Cycle Route.
