The bustling weekend Farmer’s Markets at Loch Lomond Shores have just introduced new cookery demos which are sure be a hit, attracting even more food and drink lovers to the twice monthly markets on the banks of Loch Lomond.
Top Scottish culinary author and food ambassador Christopher Trotter will be cooking up a storm on Loch Lomond as he chooses items from the range of delicious fresh food at the Sunday Farmer’s market that day, showing visitors and shoppers what can be done with meat, fish, vegetables, sauces and advising how to cook exciting dishes using fresh Scottish produce.
Christopher Trotter is a passionate advocate for seasonal fresh Scottish food, his food consultancy business “Momentum” taking him all over Scotland. A radio commentator and author, he has written five cookery books, three on Scottish cooking and tradition, with his latest, “The Whole Cow” published in 2013. Christopher also organises food-based festivals and demonstrations and provides cooking classes for individuals as well as team building sessions for businesses.
The new free cookery demo sessions will be held on Sunday 15th February and Sunday 15th March 2015 and visitors will also have the chance to put their foodie questions to the leading expert. No booking is necessary.
Christopher will be running the demonstrations at regular intervals on both days from 11am, with the last session at 2.30pm. You can also visit him at his cooking stall in between demos to chat and ask your own culinary questions.
