Mugdock Makkers Come to Loch Lomond Shores
Loch Lomond Shores will welcome Scottish artists and craft workers from the Mugdock Makkers to the spectacular setting of Loch Lomond.
Based in the Gallery in the Courtyard at Mugdock Country Park, East Dunbartonshire, the talented crafters will be selling their goods in the Loch Lomond Shores Mall on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th July.
Makkers showcasing their extensive range of original work include glass artist Jon Piccolo, wood turner Eric Large, textiles by Lucy Jackson, and artist Gillian Kingslake. Ian Shanlin, one of Scotland’s finest artists, will not only be displaying his latest paintings but will also be carrying out demonstrations for visitors.
Agnes Sutherland, a silk artist and former chairperson of the cooperative, will also be offering demonstrations in the Mall. Agnes specialises in painting silk scarves and accessories as well as cards.
Agnes said: “The Mugdock Makkers are thrilled and honoured to come to Loch Lomond Shores. We are all really looking forward to introducing our paintings and craft work to the public in such beautiful surroundings”.
The Mugdock Makkers will be in the Mall from 10am until 6pm on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th July.
