Luss Highland Games Celebrates 140th Year This Year
Loch Lomond’s oldest Highland Gathering, the Luss Highland Games is celebrating its 140th anniversary this year with a host of activities for visitors and participants.

Where: Luss Games Field, Luss on Loch Lomond
Enjoy a fun-filled day with the Clan Colquhoun International Society and Luss Estates Tug O War, Clan Colquhoun Pipe Band, traditional Highland Heavies, cycling hill race, Kilted Dash, Overseas Visitors Race, Highland Dancing, Strongman competition, children’s events, Clan Colquhoun Gathering and refreshment tents.
- John Galbraith was a long serving member of the Games Committee and all his family is coming to the Games this year - from Germany and other parts of the UK. This will be the first time they have all come to the Games. The family has generously sponsored the event for many years through the Memorial Edentaggart Hill Race Trophy.
- Kenneth and Jean Abson visited Loch Lomond on their honeymoon 50 years ago, when Mr Abson ran in the sprint race. They’ve been back once, 25 years ago, and are planning to come to this year’s Highland Games as they celebrate their Golden Wedding Anniversary.
Any visitor that goes on a Cruise Loch Lomond trip on the day of the Games pays only half price entry to the Games.
Cost of entry to the Luss Highland Games is £6 for adults, £ for children / OAPs and £14 for families.
