Luss Estates Continues to Grow Rural Business
Sir Malcolm Colquhoun recently declared the new 200 square metre offices at Luss Estates open.
Luss Estates now employs 100 staff, three times the number employed by the company four years ago.
Over this period, Luss Estates has invested more than £700,000 in plant, machinery and new buildings to handle the increased activity it is generating around Luss, and over the past three years the estate has also made multi-million pound investments in the Loch Lomond Arms Hotel, Luss General Store, Inverbeg Holiday Park and numerous other properties.
Sir Malcolm thanked the team, and particularly operations manager Charles Johnson who masterminded construction of the building, and said how delighted he was to see the offices now complete.
Sir Malcolm Colquhoun said: “The level of investment we have made over the last few years signifies the confidence we have in the rural business and underlines our intention to continue to develop Luss. We operate a number of different enterprises in traditional areas, such as farming and forestry, as well as expanding our tourist and leisure ventures.
“Luss Estate’s mission is to ensure that employment opportunities for locals are maximised and the ancient clan lands are preserved and enhanced for the enjoyment of future generations.”
