Love Loch Lomond Celebrates Prestigious Tourism Award Nominations
Destination Organisation Love Loch Lomond is delighted to be a Regional Finalist for two awards in Scotland’s prestigious tourism Oscars, the 2016/2017 VisitScotland Thistle Awards.
The destination organisation which represents tourism and hospitality businesses across Loch Lomond, The Trossachs and the Clyde Sea Lochs areas and provides information on events and activities for visitors via its website www.lovelochlomond.com is in the running for two awards: “Working Together for Tourism” for its partnership working to help businesses develop across the local area, as well as its current Pack More In campaign with People Make Glasgow and Scotrail; and Love Loch Lomond Destination Manager Karen Donnelly is nominated for Regional Ambassador, which recognises an individual who has dedicated their time and energy to making a difference to tourism in their local area.
Love Loch Lomond is also thrilled to see some of its business members reach regional finalist stage in the awards, with congratulations going to Balloch based outdoor activity providers Can You Experience in the category of Best Outdoor/Adventure Experience (West); Ross Coutts of Argyll Holidays, finalist for Regional Rising Star (West); and outdoor adventure operator Go Ape Aberfoyle in the category of Best Outdoor/Adventure Experience (Central, Fife & Tayside).

The regional winners for Central, Tayside and Fife will be announced at a formal dinner event on 10 November 2016 at Prestonfield House, Edinburgh and the West regional finalists will be announced on 24 November at The Grand Central Hotel, Glasgow.
