Loch Lomond Shores Set to Celebrate 15 Year Anniversary
Loch Lomond Shores welcomed its first visitors back in summer 2002 and this year marks the retail and leisure attraction’s fifteenth anniversary.
Plans for the celebration are underway and visitors are invited to join in the fun over the weekend of Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 June.
The weekend of free activities and live entertainment will include meeting popular mascot characters, live music, kids’ storytelling, arts & crafts sessions and the chance to get a photo with a giant birthday balloon sculpture in the Shopping Mall.
There will also be lots of special one-off discounts in the stores, in addition to Market Day on the Sunday, and funfair rides over the weekend.
The award-winning 5 star visitor attraction has gone from strength to strength over the past fifteen years recording their highest ever number of visitors in 2016 with over 1.3 million visiting the stunning destination over the course of the year.
Clare Gemmell, General Manager at Loch Lomond Shores said:
‘’All of the team are really looking forward to celebrating the 15th anniversary this month. Loch Lomond Shores has seen so many exciting developments over the years and we are very proud of the fantastic reputation that the attraction has, not only locally but internationally too. We hope to see lots of visitors over the weekend to join in the fun and entertainment on offer.’’
"We have achieved 5 star status, won an award for Scotland’s Best Day Out, developed into one of the top visited free attractions in Scotland, and we continue to draw new investment in our destination which results in an upturn in the local economy and boosts jobs in the area. We can’t wait to see what the next 15 years will bring.
