Loch Lomond Food and Drink Festival More Popular than Ever
This year’s Loch Lomond Food & Drink Festival has been hailed as another foodie success.
The annual festival, which has recently been shortlisted for an award as one of Scotland’s best outdoor festivals, took place at Loch Lomond Shores on the weekend of 2 & 3 September). Now in its 12th year, the popularity of the festival shows no signs of waning, with organisers reporting that this year’s event was hugely popular.
Loch Lomond Shores manager Audrey Reid said: “The festival has been running for a number of years, but this is the first I’ve been actively involved in. We’ve had a lot of extremely positive feedback from visitors, locals and traders, and our nomination by the public as Best Outdoor Festival in the Scottish Outdoor & Leisure awards speaks for itself. We’re already thinking about next year’s event, and how to make it even better.”
Over 25,000 visitors attended on the Saturday 2 September, and about 20,000 on Sunday 3 September, despite the rainy weather.
