Loch Lomond Boutique Celebrates Tenth Birthday

This week marks the tenth anniversary of a thriving local independent retail business in the heart of Loch Lomond, at Loch Lomond Shores.

Gift and jewellery boutique Misty Glen, owned by Helensburgh businesswoman Sue Black, is a beautiful loch-side shop with an extensive display of jewellery and classic Scottish giftware.

Sue prides herself on selecting the finest ranges and products from across the country which are loved by both visitors and locals alike, with many ‘Hand-Made in Scotland’ gifts, Harris Tweed accessories and jewellery selling out as soon as they are placed on display.

Over the years Misty Glen has developed into a popular and much loved visitor destination for returning visitors and local shoppers to Loch Lomond Shores who are keen to snap up unique gifts from a variety of Scottish designers.

The store now sells many of its ranges online via www.mistyglen.co.uk and has introduced the Misty Glen mascot, The Loch Lomond Bear, which is a soft teddy bear dressed in authentic Spirit of Scotland Tartan with his distinctive Loch Lomond Bear jumper.

To celebrate a decade at Loch Lomond Shores, Misty Glen staff will be offering cupcakes and drinks for customers on Saturday 18th from 12-4pm as well as a range of in store special offers.

Clare Gemmell, General Manager at Loch Lomond Shores said: “We are thrilled for all of the team at Misty Glen, it’s a wonderful achievement and a very special celebration for the store. New and returning visitors to Loch Lomond Shores often comment that their trip is not complete without visiting Misty Glen.”

Sue Black, owner at Misty Glen said: “I am delighted that we are celebrating 10 years at Loch Lomond Shores, we have developed the business considerably over the years to include online shopping and we welcome customer feedback on the style of products and gifts they’d like to see on display. This has helped us to select the best ranges and continually meet visitor expectations.”
