Loch Lomond Boating Holidays Launches New Cruising Experience

Loch Lomond Boating Holidays was officially launched on Thursday 28 April 2016, at Cameron House Marina, Loch Lomond.

This new cruising experience on Loch Lomond offers guests the opportunity to charter a luxury Linssen motor cruiser for either bare boat or skippered charters on the Queen of Scottish lochs in 3, 4, or 7 day trips.  The vessel can also be chartered for half or full day skippered excursions.

The high quality Linssen Grand Sturdy 36.9 motor cruiser ‘Aries’ offers style and serenity with two en-suite cabins and a saloon finished in luxurious wooden panelling and leather upholstery.

Based at Cameron House Marina, the vessel is available for 3, 4 or 7 day bare boat charter offering guests the opportunity to explore many of the island gems in the Loch Lomond crown; visit the riparian pubs and hotels to sample local food and drink; enjoy a round of golf on one of the world renowned courses; or get back to nature looking for wildlife and enjoying one of the many loch-side walks and cycles.

The vessel can also be chartered for half or full day skippered charters to discover Loch Lomond's less accessible tranquil locations with a picnic or seafood hamper.

Dr Mike Cantlay, ex Chair of VisitScotland, officiated at the launch of the unique venture. He commended the operators Cruise Loch Lomond and John Davies for this new product that will further strengthen the offering of Loch Lomond as a Destination. Dr Cantlay was joined by a number of business owners and stakeholders from the tourism sector.

Loch Lomond Boating Holidays will capitalise on the cross marketing opportunities that exist with the new Cameron House Marina and Loch Lomond Seaplanes, as well as building on successful collaborations with riparian businesses.

Loch Lomond, at the heart of Scotland’s first National Park, is characterised by stunning landscape; being the largest expanse of freshwater in Britain and the first Scottish destination for Linssen Boating Holidays.  Loch Lomond has twenty-two islands; four of which are inhabited; many with sheltered inlets and sandy beaches; as well as ruined castles and nature reserves.

The launch coincides with the Scottish Government's Strategic Framework for Scotland's Marine Tourism Sector - "Awakening the Giant". The strategy was launched last year by the Minister for Business, Energy and Tourism: Fergus Ewing MSP. The strategy outlines the potential and opportunity to grow Scotland's reputation as a world class marine tourism destination on both coastal and inland waterways in and around Scotland.
