Live Cookery Demos Return to Loch Lomond Shores Farmers' Market

The popular Farmer’s Market at Loch Lomond Shores looks forward to welcoming the return of live cookery demos from Scottish chef and food writer Christopher Trotter on Sunday 15th March from 11am to 2.30pm.

The live cooking element will once again offer food loving Loch Lomond shoppers and visitors a valuable insight into how to make the most of the top quality Scottish produce on offer, all of which is available at the Farmer’s Market.

Food Ambassador and top Scottish chef Christopher Trotter will once again cook up a storm live at the Farmers’ Market where he will offer top culinary tips and suggestions while demonstrating a wide variety of sweet and savoury dishes using fresh Scottish produce.

Christopher is a passionate advocate for seasonal fresh Scottish food, his food consultancy business “Momentum” taking him across Scotland to teach cooking techniques and skills. With five cookery books under his belt (three on Scottish cooking and tradition with his latest “The Whole Cow” being published in 2013) he also organises food-based festivals and demonstrations; and offers cooking classes for individuals as well as team building sessions for businesses.

The next free cookery demo sessions will be held on Sunday 15th March 2015 from 11am to the last session at 2.30pm, with Christopher conducting demonstrations at regular intervals. Visit Christopher at his cooking stall in between demos to chat and ask your own culinary questions.

Clare Gemmell, Loch Lomond Shores General Manager, said:

“Following the success of last month’s cookery demonstration we are delighted to welcome Christopher back and look forward to seeing what amazing new dishes he will showcase this time. His knowledge and passion for cooking with local produce is exciting to watch and will inspire people as well as giving them some delicious new recipes to try.”
