Get Ready for the Loch Lomond Souperbowl
Three cafés and one restaurant will go head-to-head next month as they battle to claim the title of best soup at Loch Lomond Shores.
Adventure Kitchen, Café Zest, Kilted Skirlie and Lomond Pirates will all be creating a soup for the event, the Loch Lomond Souperbowl, which takes place as part of the Loch Lomond Shores Farmers' Market on Sunday 7th February.
Each unit will create their own winter soup. Each soup will be sold in the week leading up to the event, with samples of all four being given out to visitors and customers on Sunday 7th February between 11am and 1pm. They can then vote for their favourite (either via the Souperbowl tab on the Loch Lomond Shores Facebook page, or a ballot on the day).
Stuart Williams, Marketing Assistant, said: “We’re very excited to be bringing this new event to Loch Lomond Shores for 2016! We already have a great food offering here with our cafés, restaurants, festivals and markets, so we wanted to bring another unique event to our visitors for the winter months. The theme is Winter Warmers and each unit will be creating their own soup especially for the event. We will also provide the recipes to our visitors to make at home.”
Photographers are invited to take photographs at the event.
Loch Lomond Shores is the gateway to Scotland’s first national park and is situated at Ben Lomond Way, Balloch, G83 8QL.
