Get in the Picture with Birds and Nature at Loch Lomond

The RSPB Shop for Nature and Loch Lomond Shores at Balloch are teaming up to give you the chance to take part in their photography competition. You can also enjoy some great guided nature walks with the RSPB at the Carrick, Cameron House on Loch Lomond. 

RSPB Shop For Nature and Loch Lomond Shores Photography Competition Entrants have five categories to choose from and there is also an under 15’s category. All you need to do is submit your photograph by hand, no larger than 9in X 6in in either landscape or portrait, along with a non- returnable disc to the RSPB Shop for Nature at Loch Lomond Shores. Entries must be received no later than 5pm on Sunday 2nd September. Entries will be displayed in The Mall at Loch Lomond Shores, where members of the public will be encouraged to vote for their favourite piece. The competition categories are: Birds, Other Wildlife (including plants), People, Landscapes and Under 15’s. There will be prizes for 1st and 2nd place in all categories which will be donated by RSPB Shop for Nature, terms and conditions apply for the competition - these can be requested in store or from the Loch Lomond Shores website. RSPB Carrick Weekend August 2012

 A team from the RSPB Shop for Nature at Loch Lomond Shores will be carrying out some great guided nature walks at The Carrick, Cameron House on Loch Lomond, over the weekend of 25th & 26th August. The free event will run over the two days from 10am to 4pm. The RSPB team will be offering guided walks around The Carrick Estate throughout the day departing at 10am, 11.30am, 13.30pm and 15.00pm. Visitors will also get the chance to try out the latest in ocular instruments with scope and binocular demonstrations. The Cameron House gardener will also be on hand, giving out advice on how to attract more birds and wildlife to your garden.
