Food and Drink Ambassador is New Chair for Love Loch Lomond
Destination Organisation Love Loch Lomond is delighted to announce the appointment of its new Chair, Beth MacLeod, owner of Knockderry Country House Hotel, who takes up the position from August 2015.
Beth MacLeod takes over from Stuart Cordner, Managing Director of Cruise Loch Lomond Ltd, who has chaired the destination organisation representing Loch Lomond and the Clyde Sea Lochs since 2013.
A graduate of both Edinburgh and Durham Universities, with a background in the armed services, management consultancy and recruitment, Beth is an active contributor to Scottish tourism and a founding member of Love Loch Lomond since 2011.
Since joining the Love Loch Lomond Board in 2013, Beth has worked tirelessly in her role as a food and drink ambassador for the destination of Loch Lomond and Clyde Sea Lochs, including her own family-run, award winning hotel, Knockderry House, in Cove, on the Rosneath Penisula, which has a strong focus on locally sourced food and creative cooking.
Former Love Loch Lomond Chair, Stuart Cordner said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at the ‘helm’ of Love Loch Lomond in the last couple of years. The Destination Organisation has continued to flourish, going from strength to strength, largely due to the relentless hard work, persistence and patience of Project Manager Karen Donnelly and her team, not forgetting our team of advisers and key support from Scottish Enterprise. Love Loch Lomond is widely regarded as one of the leading Destination Organisations in Scottish tourism, often used as an exemplar by others around the country. I would like to wish Beth all the very best as the new Chair.”
New Love Loch Lomond Chair Beth MacLeod said: “I’m absolutely delighted to take up this role at a particularly exciting and challenging time for Scottish tourism. We’re grateful to our former Chair Stuart Cordner for his significant contribution to the development of Love Loch Lomond so far and I’m looking forward to working with everyone involved in driving forward the next stage of development of Love Loch Lomond to ensure our destination continues to offer an exceptional visitor experience in Scotland.”
