Cinema Nights Extended for Sealife Loch Lomond
SEA LIFE Loch Lomond community cinema may continue as guest numbers are on the rise!
The move Monsters University at SEA LIFE Loch Lomond experienced a fantastic turnout on Friday 16th August, with the cinema filling to the max with excited movie fans.
General Manager Craig Connor said, “Following a couple of months of poor attendance we were very worried about how the rest of our summer films would go, however, Monsters University proved an incredible success with us selling out of tickets – something we haven’t had happen since our first cinema night!”
Unfortunately movie The Internship had a less successful attendance, with fewer than twenty people pre-booked to watch, which detracted from the night’s success, however Craig commented “We are still learning as to what the community would like to see.”
So far the most successful films at Sealife Loch Lomond Cinema have been family films, and for that reason whilst the venue will continue to show blockbusters, family entertainment will become a focus of the cinema.
Said Craig, “I am pleased to announce that we will certainly be adding more cinema dates till the end of the year, so check out our website for our upcoming shows! That’s our big thank you to everyone who has supported this project so far.”
The cinema has been asking guests and fans of the cinema to vote on its Facebook page - facebook.com/lochlomondsealife – for the films they want to see! As manager Craig commented, "At the end of the day this is a community cinema and we will play what our community wants!”
Sealife Loch Lomond has received feedback regarding the lack of advertising surrounding the cinema, and it is aware of the significance of this, however until the cinema activity is successful enough, it is asking everyone to spread the word through social media, word of mouth via friends and family as well as via support from the local press. This week's films The Wolverine and The World's End are ready and waiting for customer bookings.
The attraction boasts a huge iWerks screen, stunning lochside views and easy access and free parking. Ticket prices have been kept low at just £6 for adults and £5 for children. There are the usual cinema refreshments on sale too, ensuring a high quality cinema experience!
