Awards Successes for Love Loch Lomond area Businesses
Destination organisation Love Loch Lomond is delighted to celebrate the achievements of several businesses local to the destination which have been recognised for excellence and ongoing commitment to quality and service in a number of prestigious tourism, entertainment, food and drink and hospitality awards in recent weeks.
Forth Valley Chamber of Commerce Business Awards 2015: The popular family-run Balmaha destination, The Oak Tree Inn, recently celebrated its deserved win of a Customer Excellence Award from Forth Valley Chamber of Commerce and was also commended in the Best Family Business category.
Regional Winners of the Scottish Hotel Awards 2015: In Argyll & Lomond, The Loch Lomond Arms Hotel, Luss, won Best Informal Dining Hotel and Knockderry Country House Hotel, Cove, won Best Small Country Hotel.
In each category there are up to nine winners selected from the nine Scottish Hotel Awards regions. From the Regional Winners the National Winners will be selected, and finally one Hotel of the Year. Together with the People Awards and Grand Awards, the National Hotel Winners will be presented on Sunday 19th April at the Crowne Plaza, Glasgow.
Scottish Entertainment Awards 2015: Helensburgh’s La Barca Spanish Tapas Restaurant has retained its title from 2014, making it two in a row and the family restaurant is the proud winner of Best Mediterranean Cuisine category for 2015. Congratulations also go to 5 Star retail and visitor complex Loch Lomond Shores for reaching finalist in the Best Marketing Team category and to Loch Lomond Sealife Aquarium to reaching finalist stage in the Favourite Family Day Out category. The VIP final was held at the Thistle Hotel, Glasgow on Sunday 19th April 2015.
Scottish Food and Drink Excellence Awards 2015: Glengoyne Distillery has reached finalist status in the Alcoholic Drink Category in the 2015 Scottish Food and Drink Excellence Awards for its Glengoyne 25 Year Old Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky. The Excellence Awards ceremony and dinner will take place on Wednesday 27th May at the National Museum for Scotland in Edinburgh.
