Aspiring Young Musicians Set to Grace the Stage at Springfest 2016
Springfest, Scotland’s brightest food and drink festival, will once again transform the calm and picturesque surroundings of Loch Lomond Shores, Balloch, into the most fun-filled free festival site that is loved and enjoyed by thousands of visitors on Sat 2 and Sunday 3 April 2016.
In addition to the delicious delights of the 70 stalls and street food units serving up artisan food and drink from all corners of the country, this April visitors will have the opportunity to listen to some of the brightest stars in the music industry as they take to the various stages across the festival site.
One such performer is Lisa T, a young Scottish singer-songwriter who has just been signed up for Belladrum Festival this summer, and is sure to be a massive hit. Another young starlet is Chloe Marie (pictured below) who has been spotted by talent moguls and has already received significant press coverage on STV Glasgow.
The stage is set for Springfest to attract a huge number of visitors over the course of the free 2 day event, all looking for the ultimate day out - just a short distance from Glasgow and surrounding areas. Last year over 30,000 locals and tourists alike descended on the must-visit spring destination on Loch Lomond - this year organisers are aiming to exceed these figures.
A full schedule of entertainment is lined up and there will be something for everyone to enjoy. Families can look forward to a day packed full of free entertainment and workshops for kids, as well as live cooking demos, wild cooking, cocktail masterclasses and much more.
Springfest is more than you could ever imagine, so save the date!
Clare Gemmell, Loch Lomond Shores General Manager, said:
“It may only be February but excitement levels are already very high around everything that Springfest has to offer our visitors this year. We are thrilled that so many food and drink producers have already signed up to secure their spots and with excellent musicians and other entertainers set to perform, it truly is the icing on the cake!’
’We hope to see lots of visitors come and visit over this weekend and experience everything that Loch Lomond Shores has to offer.’’
