An Evening of Stories and Song with Jimmie MacGregor on board Maid of the Loch
Jimmie Macgregor, Scotland’s veteran TV and radio presenter, is performing an evening of his music and chat on board the paddle steamer Maid of the Loch, based at Balloch, on Saturday 6th August from 5pm to 7pm, in aid of the Maid’s restoration funds.
“Jimmie Macgregor’s Gathering on Songs, Stories, and Famous Folk” is sure to be an entertaining selection of material from Jimmie’s long and successful career – and this covers over 60 years. From starring in the duo Robin Hall & Jimmie Macgregor on BBC TV, to championing the West Highland Way, to meeting film and rock stars, he has tales to tell and songs to sing!
John Beveridge, Director of the Loch Lomond Steamship Company said:
“We are delighted to offer this opportunity to hear some of the songs and stories from a true Scottish legend. Jimmie has been a real supporter of the Maid of the Loch since our charity was formed, and we are most grateful to him for staging his show in aid of the Maid’s funds”.
Tickets are limited, and are available via the charity’s website at www.maidoftheloch.org priced £15, which includes a free glass of wine.
