The Old Railway and West Highland Walk Way

Begin at Strathblane, by the library and follow the old railway line. Following the route across the Cuilt Brae Road you shall pass Duntreath Castle on your right.

Just beyond this follow the sign for the West Highland Way. Past the Farmhouse go uphill to Arlehaven. Leave the West Highland Way here and follow the private road to the left. Beyond the gate bear right to join the the Cuilt Brae at Ardoch.

Turn left down the B821 and return to Strathblane via the old railway.

This route is approximately 5 ½ miles and should take around 2 hours.
