Campbell Cottage

  • About

Campbell Cottage, situated in the picturesque Argyll village of Arrochar, Loch Long, is a cosy listed cottage. The cottage forms one side of The Steadings. Built in 1760, they were originally stables where the Duke Of Argyll would keep his horses for the long journeys to and from the Highlands.

Full of character, Campbell Cottage offers a comfortable, well equipped, warm and snug home from home.

Perfectly suited to families with young children, groups of friends celebrating a special occasion or reunion, as well as walkers looking to escape into the hills of the Arrochar Alps. Well behaved pets are extremely welcome.

Sleeps 8 in 4 bedrooms. 1 small double bed (4ft) bedroom, 3 bedrooms that can either be double or twin rooms. All the bedrooms look out onto the hills behind Arrochar. Two bathrooms, one with a shower and one with a bath.

The cottage has a large garden backing on to the hills behind. Loch Lomond lies 2 miles to the East.

Situated on the shores of Loch Long, Arrochar is the gateway to the Arrochar Alps and Argyll Forest Park.

In the heart of the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, exceptional walking, climbing, golf, wilderness mountain biking, horse riding, fishing, canoeing, sailing and various other water sports are on the doorstep, while the centre of Glasgow and its abundance of culture is only a 45 minute drive away. Oban is just an hour away, with ferries to some of the wonderful west coast islands.

The immediate area has a wealth of attractions, including Inveraray Castle, Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s Hill House, the Glengoyne Whisky Distillery, and the glorious gardens of Argyll & Bute. There is something to do in all weathers for all ages.
